Yeah, the ford crate motors just about always exceed their advertised power. A split duration cam would really wake that motor up though.
I'm currently rebuilding my motor (had a little problem with a whole lot of water in my crakcase, washing out all the bearings-due to an intake gasket
). Had the heads and deck milled to give me just under 10:1 compression so I'll have to see how it'll do now. My next move is going to be longtube headers, then I'll probably spray it (gotta make those forged pistons earn their keep
)
