hey CP,
in the forum i normally haunt, someone was having issues not really related to yours, but something mentioned (i dont know much about slushboxes):
i guess there is some sort of cork gasket above the filter or something like that, and it does not come with some filters, and some forget about it.
like i said, not your problem, and you probably knew that, but something to remember to install when buttoning it up.
