oil pan gasket
I'm going to be pulling my tranny soon to check out what, if anything, happend having found metal in the pan. With the tranny out how hard would it be to stick in a new one-piece rubber oil pan gasket w/o pulling the motor? The 4 piece one I put on there is already leaking.
Also, does it really matter whether you have a ribbed or flat oil pan surface. I asked our parts guy(knows his stuff pretty good) whether or not I could use a steel reinforced one-piece on my ribbed pan surface and he said no. That I'd have to use a pure rubber one-piece gasket. Any opinions?
