I know my old Transgo was pretty persnickity when it came to TV cable adjustments. There was one sweet spot where it shifted properly. I'd be leary of trying to increase line pressure too much by adjusting the TV cable. I never got around to installing the high rev kit, but I was never able to get the tranny to shift properly for good track or street racing times without doing the 1-D-1 shuffle. Of course, I'm sure you've heard some people swear by it and some people curse it. Experiences will vary. Just know it's possible to crap your tranny because of the extra stress placed on certain clutches during the process. The best way to go will be to save up for a full custom valve body from the likes of Lentech.
