Ackbar - Not to start another debate here, but essentially forced induction does increase your compression. While technically you still may have a 9:1 compression ratio, you are cramming more air into that mixture before the compression begins, essentially raising your ratio. This would be one of the reasons blown applications require higher octane fuel....the octane essentially slows down the burn process, which is needed because of the increased instability of a highly compressed mixture.
