I didn't mean to insinuate that X pipes were a new product. As long as I've been into hot-rodding (about 10 years or so), I've seen the ads for Dr. Gas X pipes. Goes to show they have in fact been around for at least that long. X pipes are, however, becoming very commonplace and are the new recommendation from a lot of Mustang shops. It could be because they cost more (hey, got to make a buck). In the new MM&FF letters section, the editor replied to a similar question by telling the writer to go with an H pipe. He said the difference in performance gains is debatable.
