Question: Do they have any common problems or rust areas to look out for?
Answer: Look for rust on the lower rear quarter panels, at the corners of the rear window molding (on the hatchbacks_, under/around the spoiler (hatchbacks) and
the usual places all cars rust, especially underneath.
Common problems are faulty power windows and door locks due to frayed door wiring and worn parts, sagging doors (easily fixed), leaking heater core (big job), cracked plastic radiator fans and broken fan clutch, faulty air pumps and alternators.
Question: Can I get a good reliable V-8 trunk or hatchback for 4000 dollars...
Answer: Yes. Look around, don't be in a big hurry. Hatchbacks are plentiful, they sold a ton of them. Trunks are somewhat rare but still available. The trunk (sometimes called a 'sedan') model might cost more if the seller knows what he/she has.
Question: I will have 2500. for mods, what should I get?

Heads, intake, exhaust, rear gears, shifter and some minor mods, including FP and regulator.
