Default been a long time.... need some advice on building a low rpm 5.0

hey, been out of the 5.0 thing for quite some time, not back in it quite yet(ill get another when i stop spending cash on this truck), but i need some help with building a 302.

what im looking to build is a low rpm torquer motor for my truck(its a 1984 ford bronco 2, 4x4, 1/2 ton axles(high pinion dana 44 and an 8.8 out of a f150), detroit locker, 5.13 gears, about 6" of lift(rock crawler springs.....) on 36" military tires. it has a 2.8l in it, which works, but i need more power.

i was wondering if a stock 5.0l(87-93) out of a mustang with a edelbrock performer 289 intake and about a 650 off road carb(holley truck avenger) would make a lot of low end power, but still pull decent up top? or would i be better going with a truck motor, and put that carb and intake on it, or even building a motor(need suggestions of parts to use on it, not even sure if the performer 289 would be best, im really rusty on the 302 thing)

thanks a lot
