Ticking noise from under the hood
My 95GT has 64K on the clock. I noticed it makes a very slight ticking noise from under the hood. The noise fluctuates with RPMs and I thought it may be an exhaust leak. However, I put the H pipe on today and it still ticks slightly. It's been to two different shops in the past couple of days for add-ons and neither mechanic mentioned anything about it. Today's guy was standing right near the driver's side door whileI was revving it and he didn't say anything. Oil is clean and looks good, mileage is typical for a 5.0 and it drives fine, staying nice and cool. My brother's old IROC-Z (with a EFI 406 CI small block)had injectors that ticked, but that was normal. Anyone have noisy injectors that tick lightly? I don't think it's typical of a lifter in these cars (aren't they rollers?)to stick and tick is it?
