Confused yet again
OK guys, i have posted i few times on here about if Speed Density or MAF is the way to go. Of course, i have found that there are pros and cons to both sides. So now i have a few more detailed questions. I have a 91 lincoln 5.0 and here is what i plan on doing- i am going to put an E303 cam in, i have new valve springs (the double kind), heads off of a 91 mustang, intake both upper and lower from a Mustang and headers for a Mustang. I am trying to upgrade to roller lifters and it seems there are both 1.6 and 1.7 as the common ones around. How do i know which to get or which would you guys recommend? Also, i purchased 2 books on how to upgrade 5.0 engines. Now in these books it says that changing over to an E303 cam without converting to MAF will kill the engine in a fairly short amount of time, it won't hold idle and it will actually decrease in power. Now after searching and talking with a few people from this board, i have found that many people still run the SD and have no problem at all. I am just a little confused and need a little help with what is realy going on. I would love to keep it SD, because that is what i have, but i also would like to get some better performance out of it. I welcome your comments and testimonies please!
