Real gauge, hee, hee. What I did was just use my stock gauge. I took the cap off and warmed my engine up without the cap. I had my wifes's candy thermometer in the radiator and noted the temp with my stock gauge in its usual hottest temp. That was about 200F for me.
I then very carefully washed and dried the candy thermometer and sneaked it back into the kitchen drawer where it stays. So far, I haven't been caught. Hope she doesn't read this post.
