Hello I have a 1971 302 and just crack a cid. wall. I was talking to a engine builder that going to build me a short block and he said as long as iam going to use a automatic trans he can use the newer block 1980 and up but he's going to use the older type crank shaft, And he said everything off my old block will bolt right on the new short block. And iam going to use my soild lift cam. Iam just trying to get some info to be sure. Thanks Ronnie
