Re: single plane or dual plane manifold?
Well, when I ran my last carb it wasn't a Ford, but my 67 Camaro made beter average power with a single plane Victor Jr with 1" spacer (as opposed to the Eddy dual plane) - 355 Lingenfelter motor, Comp cams 280, worked 993 heads, 3310 Holley tuned and set up for the turbo 350/3,000 stall B&M and 4:10 gears. Each combo has it's own sweet spots when it comes to parts used. Went 383 eventually with that motor.
