A t56 is not going to be cheap, not by a long shot. I understand you are not worried about money, but understand when you think you have the money budgeted in, lots of little costs will add up. On something like this, there will be a lot of little costs.
A 5 speed will offer a nice overdrive, and they are much cheaper. Take in the fact that there is lots out there in cyber space for this swap, would be my pick. What are you looking for out of the 6 speed over the 5 speed?
Second, although the 351w will fit in the car, it’s not going to leave a lot of room between the shock towers. With the small block stroker kits out there now for relatively CHEAP, would be my choice hands down. Next time I put an engine together for my car, going to be a stroker 302. Why? They are cheap and with aluminum heads are just about the lightest combo I can put in it. The lighter, the better my car is going to handle.
Just some advice. There are guys on here running some great times with strokers....give it some thought.
