What about all the 149mph and less drag cars that stop on skinnies? The problem is more on the street than anything. Your stock brakes physically can't grab the rotor hard enough to lock em up at dragstrip speeds. Unless you've got a honda engine in the thing.

I have run skinnies on mine on the street for the last 15k miles or so and have locked them up only a time or two. Once you get used to them, they're no problem. If they're good enough for a VW Beetle, they're good enough for a mustang
