Does it ever kick out of gear? If not, then the gears themselves are still intact, but the syncs are gone, trust me, (coming from someone on their 3rd rebuilt t-5),
If your gonna put 70$ synchros in, go ahead and rebuild the whole thing, with that kind of mileage, it's just a matter of time, could happen when you least expect it, like driving from the grocery store like me It was hard driving home with only 4th gear!

edit: clutch cable can cause problems as well, but 100k miles t-5, probaly needs rebuild.
