Stroke your 302 to a 347, you already have it. More torque, easier to package, less weight, uses all the accessories you have now. Cast crank, decent rods, forged pistons, will cost around $1000. You are going to have to machine a block anyways. Aluminum heads, around $1000. Might be able to reuse intake and carb, I don't know what you have, if not an RPM or Stealth intake with a 600 to 750 carb. The RPM cam works well, and not too expensive. Good headers and exhaust.
