Default stroker crank with stock length rods

hello everyone. i was wondering if you all could help me out? i have a 1990 mustang 5.0. Themotor is a long block packagae from central cost mustangs which has the edelbrock performer heads and an x303 cam. i was wondering if i could put in a 347 stroker crankshaft and keep the factory length rods? the pistons are forged. and i was wondering if i put the stroker crank in the block with the factory length rods(if its possible) would it help me gain more power? And if not what all is needed to use the 347 stroker crank? And what else could i do to increase the power of my stang thanks everybody.
