hey if thats the orginal tranny from 91 its a world class..these trannys are simple to rebuild.second gear is usally the first thing to go,but to be sure u have to take the tranny apart it could be as simple as a 1-2 shift fork.or like alot of them it may need 1-2 slider,2nd gear,friction cup,syncro.
