Default Re: Are Garret turbos worth the money?

I used to own half of Xtreme Auto Sport and Care, LLC in Cincinnatti, Oh. The feature car we built for our company, since we focused mainly in imports, was a 2004 turbo, nitrous direct port, nitrous ntercooled, profec b stand alone, etc. greddy/tein/etc Honda Civic Si. As such, we used two different Garratt turbo systems, the T28 and then the T3/4 hybred later on to make further gains. As the prototype for the Honda Racing team we were building this car as, later to be sold to them after making our reputation, we never once had a problem with Garratt products, and we won Cavalcade Cincinnati Outstanding in Class, January 2006, without even a body kit. If you know Cavalcade, and how many cars enter each class, esp Civics, you know that is no easy feat to earn that plaque, especially without much of the hype, and only $65,000 in parts and labor invested in the car. I would recommend Garratt anytime anywhere, and GReddy as well. Their products work gods damn beautifully with Garratt turbos, especially the Profec B Stand Alone Engine Mgmt. Systems. Just my opinion though, but we took a hell of a lot of pink slips racing, that made money for our shop, and helped us in business as well. Nice sometimes really works, when function comes before form, and you don't pay attention to who makes what products or what side of the fence or colors they come from, only paying attention to what dyno numbers hit the rear wheel in horse and torque and what that will do on the strip and street. Best of Luck.
