Not sure if my experience relates or not. When I first had my new set up, it acted the same as yours. I tried almost everythig it seemed like. my problem was that my machine shop did a poor job of cleaning out the cooling passages in the block. my new engine, with supposedly clean internals quickly clogged up my new radiator.

When I finally figured out the problem after water wetter, 40 blelow, electric fans, auxillary air intakes to the radiator, high capacity water pumps, etc., etc........it was a clogged up, brand new radiator. A new one fxed it. The "old" new one was 70% occluded.

I had that one "rodded out" but finally just sprang for a new one. No problems since. Check out the top of your radiator.
