I wouldn't be heating it to remove it. There is a seal in the bottom of the steering box that you'll ruin heating it up and THEN YOU'LL HAVE ONE HECK OF A LEAK..

Get the right puller.
Mark arm and shaft before removing.
Soak with good penatrating oil, not WD-40 use PB Blaster.

Rap on end of puller if needed to help.
