Try spraying a little WD-40 on it letting it sit a few seconds then rubbing it off with a rag. It might take a good bit of rubbing but it will all eventualy come off. Be sure to get all the WD-40 off the surface with some sort of cleaner/degreaser before you glue the new weatherstrip on though or it won't stick. What Kind of Weatherstrip adhesive are you going to use?
