Hee, hee. I think that one's been around since the early 50's when Cads, Olds, and Lincolns were the only cars with OHV (overhead valve) V-8's. I think the Lincolns even won some Mexican road races that were big in the early 50's. Anyway, if you had a hot rod, you needed one of those brands of OHV V-8's if you wanted to be fast. The competition was the Chrysler Hemi, but I don't think they were out til about '53. Otherwise you were running against a flat head Ford, a GMC 6, or not much else.
