Yeah, I agree that the old 5.0's are bad *** , and my brother and I are going to buy one this summer as a project car. Unfortunately, though, stock for stock, the 4.6 GT is faster. Not in EVERY instance, but in most cases, it is. The 5.0 guys dogged on the 96-98's, but now you gotta give the 99+'s some credit.
On the freeway the other day, I got up on the *** of this fox body 5.0. He saw me, and gunned it, I saw the puffs of smoke out his tailpipes, and so I also gunned it, and passed him easily. This was before the pulleys.
5.0's are sweet, and will always be a huge threat on the street, but c'mon guys, give the 4.6 its due. It's here to stay, and it's not that bad.
