Dude, if you are both stock you won't have any problem...in the 80s the mustangs (especially the LXs) were the king of the street. That GTA is very heavy and you have as much hp but much lighter than even a GT. With traction and equal drivers you will get at least 1/2 car on him

What color is it? Why does this make a difference? Well...1989 was the 20th anniversary of the T/A and a very few limited numbers of GTA (ALL WHITE) got the Buick Grand National Turbo'd V6. those things were MUCH faster than the 350 V8s....I can't tell from your post if you are SURE it's a 350 or are just assuming. Don't assume...find out.
