2-0 with my new motor
Yesterday I test drove a 2001 Mustang Cobra and I have to tell you guys that those cars are bad. Really bad. If I really wanted to spend 30gs on a car I would've left with it yesterday.
Anyway on the way home I pulled up next to a 96-98 Cobra Convertible. My girlfried chimed in with "You can't beat a Cobra, can you?" I said "Honey, we're about to find out.
We went from about a 40mph roll and I jumped on him by about 2 lengths and I gained 1 car in 3rd and fourth. "F-yeah, what's up now, Honey?"
The dude pulled up next to me after we raced and I told him he had a sweet ride. He must've been shocked my little 5.0 whooped him because he had to know what I have done to my car. I informed him what I had and he told me that he had done all the "little" bolt-ons and had 3.73 gears. He said my stang sounded good, gave the thumbs-up and pulled away.
I'm so happy that I took out a 4.6 Cobra. All I wanted to do when I bought my new motor was to be able to hang the new 300+ HP factory cars. Now I'm beating them. For a while I was concerned the GT-40p heads may not be decent, but I can tell you that these heads are not bad at all.
Long-live the 5.0 push-rod V8!!!
