Post Friends '84 stang vs. 30th Anniversary T/A WS-6

Background: A friend of mine just recently finished his motor build in his 84 GT. It's a carbed 347 with AFR heads. He has it plumbed for the squeeze with 100 shot pills in right now. He eventually plans on running a 150 shot. Anyway, he's been doing some tuning on the carb trying to find the size jets the car likes best. He's run a series of 13.30's @ 104 at the track (3500 ft. elevation and lousy 60' times). After doing some more tuning, he managed to turn a 12.88 on the G-tech.

Anyway, later that same day, he had a friend come out with his 99 Trans-Am WS-6. It's one of those 30th anniversary models and he has it plumbed for a 100 shot of the funny.

The short of it is that John raced the guy on motor while the other guy sprayed. He pulled about a car on him by the 1/8th and managed to hold a 1/2 car lead through the 1/4.

Not too shabby for running a spraying ram-air TA on motor. He's going to try that 100 shot this weekend. It should fly.
