Are you sure about those numbers bigwhitecobra?
The numbers given by 97snakedriver for those years was 240hp@4800rpm and 285lb/ft@4000rpm.
I'm pretty sure the 5.0 Cobra redlines before 6500rpm, which means that number is unlikely to be the peak output rpm for either hp or torque. Also, if the rating of 302lb/ft was true it would be required by physics to come in below 4260rpm, otherwise the max rating of 245hp would be exceeded. HP = (TQ x RPM)/5250. If you put 302lb/ft of torque in at 5500rpm you'd come out with 316hp, and if you used that number at 6500, which would have to be reversed by your quotes (once you pass 5250rpm torque has to be less than hp) you'd have 374hp.
As taken from Motor Trend 6-93 road test review the 1993 Cobra, which utilized almost exactly the same motor as the 94-95 cars was rated 235hp@5000 and 285lb/ft@4000.
The NADA link I provided also gives vehicle curb weights. The 1994 Cobra is listed as N/A, but the 1995 Cobra is identical and at 3354 lbs. Even the new Cobra's don't weigh in at 3500 lbs, not the coupe's anyway. The DOHC Cobra's punch the scales at a little over 3400 lbs.
I'm not picking on any one, I just try and make sure info is as accurate as possible when people ask for advice. I'm wrong sometimes, but sometimes numbers just don't add up.
