My 65 K code was 1 of 7,273 built in 65. Seems like a lot, but Ford built over 680,000 mustangs in the first extended year of production so that works out to only 1.1% of the production that carried the HiPo drivetrain. Most of the K cars (over 60%) were fastbacks, so the coupe is not as common and with a later 1964 build date it carries a lot of cross over features from the 64 1/2 cars. The best part (to me) is that its drive train is 100% numbers matching, never been modified and is original to the car.
