Traction-lock clutches.....how long should they last?
Just wondering how long 8" Traction-Lock clutches should last with street racing/some track on them. Mine are about 2 yrs. and 10,000 miles. I feel like mine got fried at HRP due to water on the line by ricers that went directly into the water box and then did pathetic little burn outs to the starting line. That dragged water all the way to the line. I came in a little later and when the tree went green, it was just as if I had stood on it on a wet street. Went sideways and pointed almost straight at the the guy in the other lane. Let off, straightened out and the same thing again. After that, I just puttered on down to the turn off and came on back to the staging lanes. This burned my Traction-lock cluthes completely. They're now being replaced at a rear end shop. Just wondered how long they usually lasted in street/strip conditions?
