Well thanks for the warm welcome back. Umm basic wasn't too bad, it was tough at times. It got pretty rough at the end as they tried to weed out the last few weak people. And they did. The hardest part of basic was FTX and the 15 mile road march back FTX(field training exercise) started off with a 9 mile road march(which was supposed to be like 6 miles) then 3 days with minimal sleep maybe (2-4 hours a night) and lots of physical exercise. Then we road marched back 15 miles which should've been 9 miles. With a lot of gear on. And at FT. Knox, KY they have very big mountains, and they walk very fast. So after all that marching I had very bad/big blisters on my feet. So on the way back I was in a lot of pain. But you reach down and find something that makes you drive on thru all the pain and exhaustion. But that's what they train you to do. Because you would have to in a combat situation,or in non-combat for that matter. But now I'm here at FT. Eustis. It's a little more relaxed and what not. So I'll be here for 16 weeks, then I get to home for a little while then it's off to someplace else. Not sure when I'll find out. Hopefully I'll get to go home for the weekend of my birthday. I'll be 19 July14. It would be nice to hang out with family and friends for a week end. And tear up the streets.

But I'll keep in touch. Later,
-Ryan
