Police Mustangs sometimes have better cooling & charging systems and a few other small items may be enhanced as well. Engines are always stock and folks who buy Police Mustangs and then claim them to be way faster than others either are deluded or the engine has been modified by another previous owner, not the original Police department owner.
The good thing is that most Police Mustangs have been maintained better than most cars and even with high mileage, they should hold up well. Not a bad buy, especially if you can get a good deal on one.
