Now you are speaking of the Taliban. The religious leaders with their stranglehold over the Afghani's. I have no sympathy, nor would I have remorse if we annihilated them all. I am very anti-religious because of the strong feelings around it. The desire of one people to destroy another based solely on an opinion of where we come from.
I would rather judge a people based on their actions. In this case, shamelessly attacking innocent civilians so that they could prove some point.
If you think that I have forgotten what they have done, or that I somehow have sympathy for the people who did this, you are sorely mistaken. I would kill them with my own hands if given the opportunity. There is no doubt in my mind the people who have carried out this attack are beyond redemption, there is no viable alternative to their destruction, no matter what the cost is.
As I stated in my original post, it's too bad that the people must suffer, but they have allowed their current leadership to continue on, and now, they must pay the penalty for their indirect part of this attack.
