My car was hit by a chick in a Camaro the other day. She changed lanes and damaged the front end of my car.
If I go to my (Canadian) insurance company I stand a good chance of getting my insurance pulled (they're not too comfortable with me living in the US).
In order to avoid insurance companies I've been talking with this chick about her just paying out of pocket to get the car fixed. The problem I have is that I have 2 quotes that are only $100 apart ($1100 and $1200) and she thinks that this is too much. Her boyfriend wants me to go to a "friend" who can do the work for $600.
I
don't want to get a second grade job done to the car, but if it goes to the insurance companies and I'm at any fault then I'm ****ed. This chick claims that it is all her fault,
now, but you never know if she'll change her story.
Has anyone got any advise? Anyone been screwed over by someone like this?
