I'm not really understanding why building a 390 is all that difficult, actually. Aftermarket parts for the FE engines are pretty easy to come by.

Mercury, you could always look at it this way. I've seen those damn kit cars selling for as much as 40k+ with the big blocks in them. I don't know why, but hell, you build it, and if you don't like it you can sell it and get your cars back!
