Took mine off. I have never dynoed my car, so I can't tell for sure. However, the butt-o-meter felt a slight increase in giddy-up. I am actually planning on puting it back on, now that I know the feel of my car, just to see if there's any difference.
I have read a LOT on this, and there is much controversy. Personally, I go with what I feel in the seat of the pants.
