Right on about getting a top name brand convert for the AOD - they're kind of a special breed. The "cheapies" won't give you the torque multiplication, plus balancing, leaks, and other durability problems. I've heard of other guys having problems w/B&M. I did some research, ended up with an Art Carr - it went in a heavy car with stock HO & road gears, so kept the lockup for mileage and went 2500 rpm stall. EXTREMELY satisfied - had over a year and absolutely no complaints. GREAT torque multiplication in 1st & 2nd. Another good one is www.converter.com (Precision). Carr will change your stall once within a year, too, if it doesn't work out to be exactly what you want. For lots of good AOD tech info, check www.baumannengineering.com
