most people don't because you would have to get new timing chains, cover, intake setup, valve covers, have the pcm reprorammed for 7000 rpm, the stock gt rods would have to be changed because they can't handle that kind of rpm, plus it would weight more because of the aluminum block vs the cast iron block

cobra parts are a little more pricey from ford than gt stuff as well. theoretically you would make near the same hp or a little more as you. most guys that i know that have swapped just swapped a whole cobra motor in. hope that helps.
