You can do that or if you want to do it for free and you are cheap like me
you can get a plastic cap off a Pepsi bottle and cut the top off of it and cut it to fit around the line and push it into the spring in the line lifting the spring and then pull the fuel line apart. It works if you don't have the right tools.
