That ls1 is faster than that lt1. I think you should practice your launch and get good tires. You might want to look into a MAF, I hear that will help a bit.
You might want to post this question in the Modular forum, those guys can probably help you out alot more.
You also might be interested in what Bob Cosby(Corral) has done to his car. Probably alittle more than what you have in mind but it may give you some ideas.
