I see you are from Indy...
I think there a few of us from there on this board. Actually I am about 30 miles east but I go to IUPUI so I am here everday.
Most people choose the 94-95 over the 87-93 because of the better handling and seating. The reason for the 87-93 being better, is only because it is lighter. Will you be dropping in a bigger v8 in whatever you buy? If so, I would recommend starting out with a V-8 car. That way you wont have to replace the transmission, rearend, springs, etc etc...
You can really wake up a automatic with gears and a good stall..
