3-speed tranny
I have 65 Stang with a 3-speed with a 200ci engine. I started grinding in first and reverse and 2nd and 3rd won't even budge.
I replaced the throwout bearing, clutch disc, pressure plate, and clutch fork pivot bracket. When I put it all back together, I used the clutch alignment tool to act as the tranny to see if it would all work right. I noticed that even with the clutch upper rod adjusted all the way out, the throwout bearing still wasn't engaging the fingers on the pressure plate enough to release the clutch disc. The z-bar is not cracked and the internals of the tranny are good. Would an adjustable clutch rod work in this situation or did I do something wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my everyday driver and I haven't driven it in 3 months because of this. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
