I believe it is. It lets you have some baseline to evaluate future mods. Some people (Skyman) have G-Techs that seem dead on fpr 1/4 mile ET. Mine's about 1/4 second optimistic at least for my car and everyone gets too high MPH on the G-Tech. I use mine pretty often and think I've gotten my money's worth. It is consistent and that's really what makes it useful.
