Default High powered Alternators

Well the Stang is off to the shop to get aligned and then painted(crossing fingers). When the alternator goes belly up. I was going to buy a stock one then thought about puitting in one of those high amp jobs. Since I'm going to be adding the new system amps and all I might need one. I'm running the Sony MP80 head unit, with a JBL BP600.1 (300wt) amp to power the sub. In case you forgot LOL Do you think I should go with a high amp unit? What size? I've seen the stock 55amp, 60amp,65amp, or a 140amp! Jeez that could power the house. Those were for Fords. Could I add a GM style with the built in regulator? They come in those sizes and also an 80amp and a 100 amp?
