It came out of an '03 Cobra. The guy was looking for a solid axle for the drag strip and I just happened to have one containing what he was looking for.

I have the Griggs kit all the way around on my car (which i dislike btw) but it has 475lb springs in the rear its way to soft. Many people have been telling me that 475 was way to stiff..... as i was contemplating doing a 550 in the rear and a 500 in the front. Your thoughts?
If I remember correctly the SA's were 30 series, but I could be wrong. It was years ago and I purchased them used.

As for why I chose 600 lb springs for the rear? Mainly because it was available at a great price and I've heard of people running higher spring rates on the IRS. I matched this with 450 lb front coilover springs. I ran this setup at Sebring at about 50% effort (head gasket failure) and was surprised at how well the combination matched.

P.S. - Sorry for the incredibly delayed response. I had a slight leave of absence.
