![]() I'm 17 and tring to buy a car. I only make about $80 bucks a week so I can afford a car payment of about $150 a month. I am looking for a 1979 to 1993 Mustang (V-8), a 1973-1992 Camaro (V-8, or a older Eclipse of Talion turbo AWD. Where is the best place to find one. I've been looking around the area and reading the local classifides. Is there anywhere else I can look. What about car autions are they any good.

![]() Do you have any money saved up for a downpayment? If so, how much? As far as auctions go, I would suggest going to a police auction. A lot of times, you can find partially modded cars for cheap.

![]() If I was you I would save up about a couple grand down. Shouldnt take you to long. Then start looking. Because most stangs around the 87-93 era are usually from 3grand to 8grand depending on whats done to them and condition. So if you put about 1/2 down on a 5000 car. Then your payments should be close to 100 a month..the less you put down the more your monthly payment..

![]() I'm going to have to go with inferno on this one. Auctions are the cheapest way to go with finding a car. Most auctions want all of the money after ten days so be sure you read up on their payment plans. I've seen mustangs go for under a grand and be in perfect condition. By searching the web, you can find a good buy on the car you want.
