I WAS FLYING HIGH YESTERDAY!

Well, I've done a lot of cool stuff, which includes racing, flying in planes, and even skydiving. However, over the weekend I did something I had never done before and it was totally cool... I went hot air ballooning! I went up in a small (ha ha!) 70,000 cubic-ft balloon with a 150 lb. three passenger basket (pilot, plus two) in the northern part of lower Michigan. Check it out. I'm standing on the right helping the pilot's wife to hold the mouth of the balloon open while we initially inflate it with an air blower. In the lower left pic you can then see him filling it with hot air using the balloon's burner.



I took a girl I've been dating to do this as a weekend excursion... We also went horse back riding (something else I had never done) and canoeing at a ranch. Man, I'm hurting! I used muscles I didn't know existed in my legs trotting the horse through the trails... *ugh*
