				 | What's the best intake manifold for an engine that only revs up to 5000 rpms? This question will probably get locked out, but no one goes into the Ford Truck Forum. What is the best 4bbl. intake manifold for a street engine that only revs to 5,000 rpms? I plan on sitting this intake on top of a pair of E7 Mustang 5.0 heads.

				 | A Edelbrock Performer would be good, don't get the "RPM Performer" thats for up to 6500, get the plain jane "Performer"

				 | anything with long runners; long runners give you more low end torgue, sacrificing flow at high rpms. For your purposes, that is what you want. |

				 | I would go with the RPM. The regular Performer isn't much more than an aluminum stock manifold. The RPM is designed with a higher rpm band in mind, but because it's a dual plane manifold, it doesn't give up any bottom end or off idle responsiveness. It also allows for any future mods you may decide to add. Take care, -Chris

				 | I would not put the RPM manifold on a truck, stick to the performer. At least with a Chevy the performer gives a nice boost compared to a stock intake, the performer package sucks cus the perfomer cam is really wimpy basically a stock cam. So get the Edelbrock performer, maybe a good 4x4 grind cam too.
