![]() First time user of any Mustang board. I am an X chevy guy, bought a 1992 LX 4-banger about a year ago, in the process of transforming it to a v8. I've bought the following stuff so far: Fox Lake 393ci short block, Comp Cams Xtreme Energy flat tappet hydraulic cam 250in. 256ex. @.050 554in. 558ex. w/1.6rr, it was recommended by Ron at Foxlake versus a roller conversion, new version TFS High Ports w/2.08in 1.60ex. milled for 10.7:1 comp, also from Foxlake, Trick Flow R 351 intake port matched to the heads, 1.6rr's, 75mm Accufab t-body, Pro-M 80mm mas, 38lb Lucas inj, 1 3/4" Hooker long tubes, Dynamic Racing C-4 w/3000rpm 10"conv. My questions are: Since the car didnt have an efi harness or comp, what are my options?, what would be a possible gear choice?, any opinions on the flat tappet cam?, what kind of ET and horse power could I expect?also what would be agood exhaust choice? Any comments would be appreciated and sorry for the long post, thanks!

![]() Welcome, glad to see we have another convert. Youre a smart man. Sounds like youre well on your way to having a bada$$ car. This is the perfect palce to hang out, find out what you need, and lend info to others. Im not to good at giving advice but for the harness, find a donor 5.0 car. Try for a 90 or 91 with the A9P computer. You will probably need to have a chip burnt for the tranny but dont quote me on that. There are a lot of more knowledgable people that will be able to help you with the more specific stuff. Once again Welcome.
Brad
